Last week, I posted about a few incredibly cool tech gadgets on the market right now that you can pick up for your furry family members. But there are so many products out there, I felt like I should revisit these awesome technological advances in pet care to talk about a few more.
If you’re eager for new smart products that will make your pet’s life even more pampered, check out these tech devices made just for them!
If you have an indoor/outdoor cat, you can now let them go in and out as they please without having to worry about letting in other neighborhood cats or other animals. Give them their own programmable door with the SureFlap Microchip Cat Flap.
This high-tech kitty door uses RFID to read your cat’s implanted ID microchip to allow them to come and go, or you can purchase programmable collar tags that work the same way. It can learn up to 32 different identities, and uses simple, one-button programming.
These days, everything is getting the “smart” treatment, even dog bones. The Wickedbone Smart Bone lets you choose between 12 interactive auto-play modes, or you can control the toy with a virtual joystick through the app. What’s even cooler, when using the auto-play mode, the Wickedbone acts responsively to your dog’s actions.
Let your dog know he’s still a good boy, even when you’re away, with the Furbo Dog Camera. It is equipped with a 1080p full HD camera, complete with night vision and a 160-degree wide-angle view. That means you can livestream HD video to your phone to check in on your pet, and two-way audio means that you can talk to each other, too.
Most importantly, though, you can fill Furbo with your dog’s favorite treats, and remotely toss one to your good boy via the app on your phone.
Furbo also has a barking sensor that will send push notifications to your phone when it detects your fur baby barking, so that you can check in on the commotion to make sure everything is okay, and even talk to them to calm them down.
Especially if you live very close to your neighbors, sometimes our dogs can startle or annoy them by barking every time they step outside. This device can help train your dog to quit barking so much while outside. The HoomDirect Anti-Barking Device uses ultrasonic sound to disrupt barking.
The ultrasonic frequency is inaudible to humans, and isn’t harmful to pets, but the effectiveness depends on your dog’s hearing ability, age, and temperament. You can hang our mount it on a fence post, wall, or tree, and it’s designed to look like a cute birdhouse!
